Society has a dark side

What is society to me?

A community where we learn and try to live in peace without hate, discrimination, war and racism. But we know it cannot be ignored by us the people because it is hard to have the problems disappear. Our common problems become our habits; as an individual we can change our points of view but unfortunately we cannot change the other's thoughts nor could we convert their beliefs because we have to respect it.

But in the 50s, society was living a lie because governments or the medias don't want the public knowing their darkest secrets in a particular city or continent, really anywhere. So to hide the truth, they get the world converted or brainwashed from television or anything technology can simulate us into accepting or believing we are livng in a world of simplicity, where sexism is not a problem to men, no particular opinions are to be made by everyone, children are not to rebel from parents, just so they can earn their freedom and where denial is known to refuse accepting that we are living in a dangerous world, filled and combined with discrimination and segragations. They do it because they wish that they could forget about the global issues, but we all know they can't.

In the 16th century, sexism still existed in King Henry VIII's England because he thought that women are to follow and satisfy their husband, but never disobey her duties as a wife. Religious conversions were not to be allowed because all the people should remain Catholic and faithful or else they would be killed or excommunicated if they convert to becoming Protestants or Jewish in his laws. If you learn from 16th century and their points of view, you will understand why their lifestyles are so different from the 21st century.

BC hid a secret about the Natives; there were those that were abused or raped as children in residential schools organized by the provincial government. The government knew it was a disgrace but they did not deny the truth, they accepted it and felt sorry for the aboriginals for they want to be forgived. That was taught to me in Socials Studies

We may not live in a perfect society  but at least we try to improve ourselves so in the future, we could prepare ourselves for the better or for worse to come
